DigitalHealthEurope: Support to a Digital Health and Care Innovation initiative in the context of Digital Single Market strategy

Periodic Reporting for period 2 - DigitalHealthEurope (DigitalHealthEurope: Support to a Digital Health and Care Innovation initiative in the context of Digital Single Market strategy)

Periodo di rendicontazione: 2020-01-01 al 2021-09-30

DigitalHealthEurope (DHE) supports the implementation of key aspects of the Communication on “enabling the digital transformation of health and care in the Digital Single Market; empowering citizens and building a healthier society” published in April 2018 (COM233 final). The support is organised around three main policy priorities: 1) citizens’ secure access to and sharing of health data across borders; 2) better data to advance research, disease prevention and personalised health and care; 3) digital tools for citizen empowerment and person-centred care.
To achieve these three priorities, the project work plan offers two forms of support: support to large scale deployment of digital solutions for person-centred integrated care and Support to DTHC innovation through collaboration in multi-stakeholder communities.
The project worked with key stakeholders to produce DHE outcomes such as white papers, guidelines and policy recommendations.
DigitalHealthEurope (DHE) has produced a number of project deliverables. In addition to them, many further resources have been developed and made available to the DHE community in forms that are more user-friendly, such as interactive catalogues and searchable databases, videos, interactive maps, etc. The list below provides an overview of key materials produced in DHE.

The scope of the impact of DigitalHealthEurope focuses on key issues:
► Effective support to and engagement of stakeholders active on the third DTHC priority of the DSM, resulting in tangible impact from the beginning of the action and sustainably throughout its duration
► Functional collaboration platforms on key aspects of the three DTHC priorities of the DSM and instrumental contribution to the implementation of EU policy on DTHC in the context of the DSM
► Actionable strategic vision for EU policy on DTHC beyond 2020, incl. mobilisation of EU instruments
Impact performance indicators and targets are in place to ensure the project achieves the desired impact. The consortium has shown great dissemination and communication reach and has outperformed all of its dissemination targets. Plenty of events were organised in 2019 and plenty of online events in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, providing valuable input to the work of the different WPs.
