During whole project all develoments stated in the DoA and milestones have been achieved successfully:
User requirements: The complete set of user requirements was completed, assessed and prioritize.
System architecture: The ASSISTANCE system architecture was designed and implemented. The architecture described in detail all data exchanges among the different ASSISTANCE modules.
Sensors Abstraction Service (SAS): All logical interfaces needed for the information exchange stated in the project architecture were designed and implemented. This middelware was created for ensuring the correct information exchange through the Sensors Abstraction Service (SAS).
Unmanned platforms and control devices integrated:
ASSISTANCE communication network ready: The necessary communication network for providing connectivity to the FRs in the more hostile environment was designed and implemented also during the first reproting period. Milestone 5 of the project. Some related images can be seen in figure 10 to 12
Situation Awareness Platform (SAP): The SAP was completely adapted and improved during the reproting period. All ASSISTANCE modules, mobile platforms and sensors were integrated and visualized sucessfully in the SAP for increasing the FRs situation awareness. S
Wearable sensors integration and visualization: The wearable sensors that will be used by the FRs during the pilots (e.g. GPS, vital signs and video cameras) were also selected and integrated in the SAP. Some related images can be seen in figures 17 and 18
CBRN Hazard Tool (CHT): This module was completely developed and integrated in the SAP during the reporting period. One related image can be seen in figure 19.
Chemical sensors integration and visualization: The visualization of the measurements taken by the chemical sensors mounted in the drones has been developved according the FRs advice and requirements. One related image is figure 21
Damaged Assets Location & Routing (DAL&R): This module was completely developed and integrated in the SAP during the reporting period. One image of this module can be seen in figure 22
Mobile SA platform: The mobile version of the SAP has been also developed and tested.
Advanced Video Fusion Module: This module was completely developed and integrated in the SAP during the reporting period. One image of this module can be seen in figure 24
ASSISTANCE training methodology and the training curricula have been produced during the reporting period. Based on the methodology and the curricula description the training contents for the theoretical training including the VR platforms and scenarios descriptions were stated and published in the project Moodle server. FRs selected teams are currently performed this online theoretical training.
The VR platforms were completely adapted and were tested on line (Subject 5) and in three dedicated training workshops (Subjects 6 to 8) included in the three project pilots activities. Some images of this training workshops can be see in figures 25 to 28.
The whole ASSISTANCE system was completely integrated and tested by the FRs during the three project pilots under a controlled environment facing realistic scenarios.
All project deliverables were submitted on time during the whole project, except two extensions of 6 months for D4.3 and D4.5 due to Covid 19 restrictions and constrains. These extension were approved by the PO.
In the RP2 the ASSISTANCE consortium has performed over 130 of different types of communication and dissemination activities that are summarised in detail in deliverable D9.5. As the SARS-COV-19 pandemic persisted, majority of the dissemination activities planned by the ASSISTANCE team were affected and a lot of events have been postponed or cancelled, such as e.g. the Security Research Event 2022, where the project was to be presented in a dedicated booth. However, all the project partners devoted efforts to continue the dissemination activities in these new circumstances, refocusing and seeking opportunities in the types of communication and dissemination that does not rely on physical attendance, e.g. online events/activities or preparation of research publications (7 papers published, 7 media releases, >80 internet/social media activities, >30 events (including online) attendance and project/research papers/ poster presentations (trade fairs/industry shows conferences etc.) as well as local events (workshop/seminars) and clustering activities with other projects..
