International leagues of art for creative people

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - MUNDOARTI (International leagues of art for creative people)

Berichtszeitraum: 2019-02-01 bis 2019-05-31

According to UNESCO, people who practice art worldwide is estimated in 617,54 million in 2017. The current solution to promote their artworks is participating in cultural competitions.

At present, most of the cultural competitions are still carried out by traditional methodologies that require physical submissions and face-to-face meeting of the jurors. Despite the fact that the organizers and artists have significant technological development needs in the cultural sector, even today it remains a minority.

MundoArti responds to this technological challenge by providing an innovative and cultural platform that enhances user experience by:
(1) offering artists a comprehensive framework to participate in competitions and protect their creations;
(2) offering organizers a wide set of tools to manage the competitions;
(3) offering judges a deliberation process based on our innovative mathematical algorithm to select, time and cost efficient, any type of work;
(4) creating new ways of competing between people joint the current competitions into different art leagues and levels (regional, national, international). That is key for the gammification and scalability of the model.

In short, MundoArti is the world's first platform that allows any type of artist (writers, photographers, painters ...) to compete and share their art works inside a professional league of art.

Our overall objective for this Phase is to finalize the innovations needed to make MundoArti a complete and world-class product and lead the emerging market of art leagues.
During the execution of the Phase 1 project:

We aim at creating a high impact at different levels, mainly in the cultural industry:
- MundoArti contributes to accelerate the European up-take of ICT by industry and public sector. This has been identified as a key objective within the Digital Agenda for Europe (DAE) towards year 2020.
- In line with the challenge of the European Commission, MundoArti preserves Europe's Cultural Heritage by digitalizing and protecting artworks, making it accessible and available to everyone.
- MundoArti play a crucial role in it providing the most advance judging process to valuate works in an anonymous and accurate way, offering artists to participate in transparent and quality competitions.
- MundoArti offers a dynamic way of competing, an overall ranking and different levels of professional competitions. It allows scalability and gamification and ensure the sustainability of the competitions in a long term.
- MundoArti helps artists by creating an innovative environment that promotes works of any artistic discipline. As a result, it generates new job opportunities inside an atomized sector and with high unemployment rates.
- MundoArti helps organizers to make and efficient use of resources and achieve a better value for money by adopting technologies with potential to improve efficiency and productivity.
- MundoArti is part of the actors carrying out the implementation and wider development of creativeness worldwide, one of the key competences that UNESCO has identified for the people in the next century.
