Project description
European training network on sustainable organic synthesis
Carbon–hydrogen (C–H) bond activation is one of the most rapidly developing fields in organic chemistry, but its application for industrial purposes remains limited. This is mainly due to the lack of cooperation between academia and industry and a limited number of young experts in the field. The EU-funded CHAIR project is a unique European Research Network aiming to address these issues. The network brings together nine renowned academic research institutions and six industrial partners, strongly motivated to establish a profound basis that will enable industrial C–H activation to find wider use. Fifteen early-stage and fifteen senior researchers will be engaged in fundamental research projects to showcase the potential of C–H bond activation.
