Design and integration of PV systems, exceeding the building energy needs, in such a way that these solutions cover the buildings’ consumption and contribute with extra energy to be used in other applications. •Planning, design, and implementation of interconnection infrastructure between the buildings of the neighbourhood in order to share the generated energy between the different buildings.•Design and implementation of management systems at building and neighbourhood scale, to ensure the neighbourhood energy balance, minimizing the energy demand, and maximizing the use of on-site renewable energy. •Design and implementation of monitoring systems with user interface systems for all the elements related to the generation and consumption of electricity at dwelling, building, and neighbourhood level, in order to fortes the awareness of the neighbourhood.•Study and design of the electric vehicle (EV) integration and its impact in the neighbourhood at the energy and environmental level. Identification of the requirements and needs for the EV implementation.
Demonstration case of plus energy neighbourhoods in Continental climate (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)Construction of real-life demonstration project as co-creation hub for testing of novel systems, technologies, and processes to achieve sustainable plus energy houses at the neighbourhood scale. The following materials, components, and systems will be of particular focus: •Assessment of the current energy and comfort performance of the demo case before the refurbishment (following the methodology developed in T3.1)•Evaluation of the energy and resource need before refurbishment and development of need reduction strategies•Design and control of passive envelope refurbishment solutions including assessment of necessary amount of insulation, performance enhancement of openings, potential shading systems and their controls for optimal energy efficiency and thermal comfort of the users. •Evaluation and design of building/neighbourhood systems for energy generation for improvement on baseline solution.
