Urban PoLicy Innovation to address inequality with and for Future generaTions

University curriculum

The consortium includes three universities and several research organisations allowing UPLIFT to produce key outcomes for a higher educational curriculum This teaching material will be developed with a proposed structure background reading materials and methodological guides

Inventory of post-crisis policies against inequalities

The Inventory will summarize innovative local policies against urban inequality across the 16 functional urban areas focus on their achievements and failures and also analyse their strategies to reachout cocreate and receive feedback to provide input for the Reflexive Policy Agenda D48

Individual Reflexive Policy Agenda Tallin

In the four implementation locations a concrete locally applicable Reflexive Policy Agenda will be developed based on the policy cocreation process

Action plans on the co-creation process

Created parallel with the establishment of the institutional framework in the four sites, they provide methodological guidance and a schedule for the co-creation process.

Policy briefs on innovative policies against urban inequality

The factsheets articulate the urban report and synthesis findings in a concise and accessible manner to inform the wider audience It will be available on the Digital Information Platform

Bilingual policy briefs on case study findings

Targeting a wide and varied audience the individual case summaries present the findings of the eight indepth reports in an accessible manner for international and local dissemination in English and the local language

Individual Reflexive Policy Agenda Amsterdam

In the four implementation locations a concrete locally applicable Reflexive Policy Agenda will be developed based on the policy cocreation process

Case study reports

The report will summarize the main findings of the local analysis in the eight locations utilising the findings of D22 Urban reports on the scale and drivers of inequality in functional urban areas The structure and the language of the deliverable will target the research and policy community

Synthesis report: socio-economic inequalities in different urban contexts

The deliverable synthesises the sixteen urban reports highlighting the causal relations between the scale and dimensions of urban inequality and the economic drivers mediated by national and local policy interventions

Updated action plan

Based on the experiences of the first year and the lessons from the peertopeer session that also builds on the research completed by M18 in the 16 urban areas and new Action Plan is created

Inequality concepts and theories in the post-crisis Europe

The result of the conceptualisation work the delivery will provide a thorough and analytical overview of the various inequality concepts and the efficiency of different interventions under different economic and welfare conditions

Guidebook on developing the Reflexive Policy Agenda

The guidebook will provide a blueprint for the development of a Reflexive Policy Agenda including its three components process design for the outreach content design for cocreation and feedback design

Atlas of inequalities in Europe

This easily searchable atlas displays the results of data analysis in an accessible manner. It also provides direct input to D2.6 on inequalities on national and regional scale.

Dissemination, exploitation and communication plan, to be updated at M12, 24, 36

The deliverable will outline a strategy to maintain the results of UPLIFT and to further disseminate its results

Report on the wider social impacts of the project

The report will summarize the expected social impacts of UPLIFT both in the local environment and on a national European scale

Urban reports

The report will consist of individual analysis of the projects sixteen functional urban areas focusing on their local socioeconomic and policy contexts and establishing a datasupported overview on the scales and dimensions of inequality in them

In the four implementation locations a concrete locally applicable Reflexive Policy Agenda will be developed based on the policy cocreation process

Policy brief on the application of Reflexive Policy Agenda

The policy brief complements the Guidebook on Reflexive Policy Agenda that summarizes the main recommendations for local regional national and EU level decision makers

Training material on the Reflexive Policy Agenda

The deliverable will serve as the training material for the trainings in 3 nonimplementer cities Belfast Chemnitz Pcs on developing Reflexive Policy Agendas at the local level

Action research guidebook: reaching out to vulnerable youth groups

The guidebook presents the methodologies established and refined in the course of the project with specific focus on vulnerable youth

Framework study on socio-economic inequalities in Europe

Based on Tasks 1.1-1.3, the study provides a complex picture on inequality in Europe and serves as a reference point for the other work packages. It links the scale and dimensions of inequality with the main drivers on member state and regional level.

Transferability report

Aimed at policy analysists and practitioners equally the report creates an assessment of the transferability potential of good policies and practices under different urban contexts

Report on website and social media

The website will provide project information, including aims and methodology and will further be developed into Digital Information Platform. The deliverable will summarize the structure of the website and the steps to set up the Digital Information Platform.

Massive Open Online Course (MOOC)

It will summarize the research and practical findings, and use the visual material created during the project. It will be available on the Digital Information Platform and in the digital course offer of the consortium partner universities.

Multi-layer data and policy map

The deliverable visualises main urban inequalities in the European level with an enriched material especially focusing on the national contexts of the sixteen functional urban areas It combines the results of Task 11 and 21 to a multilayer map and through web based tools it enables readers to discover innovative policy responses in the sixteen locations for specific dimensions of inequality

Digital Information Platform

UPLIFTs project website will be developed into a Digital Information Platform It is a multipurpose online information tool structured and search engines developed in a way to provide user friendly access for different stakeholders with different backgrounds and interests
