Europäische Konferenz zur Stärkung von Innovatoren
Hochrangige Vertreter, nationale und regionale Entscheidungsträger, Unternehmen, Forschung, Wissenschaft und die Zivilgesellschaft waren eingeladen, das neue Forschungs- und Innovationsprogramm der EU (2021-2027) zu diskutieren. Dies war das Ziel des Projekts IEW Bucharest 2019, das eine dreitägige internationale Konferenz mit dem Titel „Innovative Unternehmerwoche Bukarest 2019“ organisierte. Mitorganisatorin der Veranstaltung war die Europäische Kommission durch die GD Kommunikationsnetze und die GD Forschung, gemeinsam mit dem rumänischen Vorsitz im Rat der Europäischen Union. Es fanden Paneldiskussionen zu folgenden Themen statt: Umsetzung von der Idee zum investitionsgeeigneten Projekt, Unterstützung von bahnbrechenden Innovationen und Ausbaupotenzial mit hohem Risiko für private Investoren. Ziel war es, den neuen Europäischen Innovationsrat politisch sichtbar zu machen.
Ziel
The objective of the project is to organise a three full day international conference titled “Innovative Enterprise Week Bucharest 2019” (IEW Bucharest 2019) .
The conference will bring on the stage debates about how to bridge the gap from idea to investable project, how to support breakthrough innovations and the scale up potential with high risk for private investors.
Over the course of the three days, the conference will focus on three overarching topics for the next EU Research and Innovation Programme (2021-2027) – Horizon Europe: Pathfinder, Accelerator and Financial Instruments.
The project will work intensively to engage quadruple helix actors – high level representatives and national and regional decision makers, companies, research and academia and civil society – in an active dialogue on how to enable breakthrough innovation through the new European Innovation Council.
The legacy of IEW Bucharest 2019 is two-folded: along with the increased levels of awareness and understanding of the Horizon Europe programme, with particular focus on the European Innovation Council, a framework for new international collaborations for innovative projects will be arranged.
