Report or publication on satellite assessment of aviation impact on cirrus

This deliverable describes results from Task 22 Satellite data and model simulations are used to find out whether and how aviation aerosol effects on cirrus cloud microphysics are detectable from space whether there are subsequent effects on bulk macrophysical cloud properties and what the consequences are for their radiative effects

Report on statistics of instantaneous radiative forcing and meteorological conditions where the strongest contrails appear

This deliverable from Task 21 provides statistics of the instantaneous radiative forcing iRF of persistent contrails that are found in the IAGOS and JULIA data bases Analyses of the meteorological conditions giving rise to particularly large positive iRF will be provided as well

Synthesis operational solutions envisaged for reducing aviation emissions

This deliverable produced in Task 53 will provide climate change functions which quantify firstorder atmospheric sensitivities updated for the new results on aerosolcloud interaction

Report on the observational climatology of cloud-active aviation aerosol, including ice nucleating abilities of contrail processed INPs

D 1.1 is an outcome of Task 1.1. It describes the aviation aerosol climatology extracted from IAGOS data and first analyses based on these data. It describes in a second part the results from the laboratory measurements on real aircraft soot.

Report on interaction between individual effects of aviation emissions

This deliverable is an outcome from Task 24 It describes the results of sensitivity studies with a chemistryclimate model The model is used to find out whether there are interactions and tradeoffs between different aviation effects that is whether improvements for climate in one aspect can incorporate deteriorations for climate in other aspects

Report on favourable atmospheric situations for aviation-induced effects

This deliverable describes the results from Task 32 It will characterise meteorological conditions where aviation emissions have a particularly strong effect on clouds and atmospheric compositions and where such effects can be detected that is where the signaltonoise ratio is sufficiently large

Strategic roadmap and agenda available for scientific assessments, i.e., IPCC, WMO

This deliverable, produced as a service of task 5.1, is to help organisation of the dissemination of scientific results of ACACIA into international assessments (e.g. IPCC). Deadlines for the submission of results and texts will be collected and announced within the consortium.

Report on methodological gaps in addressing the climate effects of aviation by field campaigns

This is a deliverable from Task 3.1. It will collect results from a literature study and provide lessons learned. It is the groundwork for setting up concepts for new measurement campaigns.
