Making Madrid’s SMEs more innovative
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Madrid are set to receive a valuable boost to achieve their full innovation potential. The EU-funded INNMADRIMASD5 project aims to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of investments in research, development and innovation and to empower the SMEs to overcome weaknesses in their innovation potential. Specifically, the project will identify the challenges facing the creation of economic impact and innovation needs and provide key account management (KAM) services. The ultimate goal is to increase efficiency and effectiveness of innovation processes. The project will also create active links between the SMEs and the Enterprise Europe Network.
Objective
The core objective of the project is to contribute to boost the full innovation potential of SMEs identifying weakness in their
innovation capacities and in their innovation management capacities; this identification, and the proposed plan, will increase
the efficiency and effectiveness of investments in research, development and innovation; and empower the SME to
overcome those weakness.
This services will be provide in the framework of the Enterprise Europe Network as support network. The network will
provide the link to the regional innovation ecosystem.
To achieve the above-mentioned objectives the proposed project will:
a) Identify challenges to the creation of economic impact and innovation needs in SMEs beneficiaries of H2020 funding
schemes SME Instrument (hereinafter referred to as SME-I), Fast Track to Innovation (hereinafter referred to as FTI) and
Future and Emerging Technologies Open (hereinafter referred to as FET-Open).
This service is called 'Key account management' (KAM). It is planned about 83 such services during the years 2020-21.
b) Increase the efficiency and effectiveness of innovation processes in small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) with
significant innovation activities that could potentially become beneficiaries of European funds for research and innovation but
would not have effective access to consulting services for innovation management. This service is called 'Enhancing the
innovation management capacity of SMEs (EIMCS). The aim is to provide about 54 services of this kind.
c) Create an active link between the SMEs and the Enterprise Europe Network, offering the beneficiaries of the above
described services SMEs the EEN services.
