IMPACT ASSESSMENT
Despite the obstacles due to COVID-19 pandemic, the MONTENIGHT 2020 organized only online, excited interest among pupils, students, and other young people who expressed a high level of satisfaction with the program and organization of the event.
Quantitative data
o 43,75 % of the respondents are from the age cohort 15-24. 25% of respondents are over 45, 20% are researchers, half of the respondents visited the previous RN.
o Overall positive feedback about the event - On a scale from 1 to 5, the festival has been graded with 4.77. Unsatisfied 1% of respondents
o The festival was promoted at main national TV channels (RTCG, Vijesti, Prva TV), local TV stations (Niksic, Rozaje, Budva, Herceg Novi), and at the most relevant portals
o Appx. 350 000 people were informed about Researchers’ Night and its objective
o Active involvement of 140 researchers in the activities offered.
Qualitative data
o Montenight demonstrated that science could be fun and fascinating
o Connections between researchers and the general public have got improved
o It is possible to be a successful researcher in Montenegro
o Various sectors were involved in the Researchers' Night
o The Montenegrin society has been increasingly aware of the importance of research in their everyday life
o Researchers have become better informed about opportunities to do science through EU programs
o Young people were stimulated to engage in scientific careers
o Young people had the opportunity to see researchers having benefited from EU programs including H2020
o The importance of international cooperation in research activities was emphasized
o Positive impact of public perception of researchers and science in general, for the prospective knowledge-based society.
