SnapToPowerQuality: Protect Production Facilities from Power Quality Failures using Low-cost Clamp-on Measurements from the Outside of Existing Multiconductor Cables

Periodic Reporting for period 2 - SnapToPowerQuality (SnapToPowerQuality: Protect Production Facilities from Power Quality Failures using Low-cost Clamp-on Measurements from the Outside of Existing Multiconductor Cables)

Reporting period: 2021-08-01 to 2022-07-31

With the introduction of more green energy and more electronic products power quality is a growing concern for production companies.
Poor power quality is a major problem for production companies. Power quality issues leads to nonscheduled shutdowns of production lines and early wear out of expensive equipment.
The objective of the project is to create an affordable and automatic surveillance of the power quality making it possible for the companies to take adequate precautions.
The first host for pilot 1 has been identified. Vola in Horsens Denmark has been chosen as they are experiencing problems with their power quality.

A lot of work has gone into examining and determining where to place dataloggers to ensure maximum coverage. Remoni hardware has been installed and data collection has begun.

Pilot 1 is well ahead of plan, which gives the project the opportunity to collect a lot of background data which can support the development activities in the project.
We are well ahead of the time plan and hardware has already been installed at the Pilot 1 site. It is to early to say anything about the impact.
