Project description
Remote patient monitoring in the time of COVID-19
Remote patient monitoring (RPM) is a one-to-many telemedicine solution that can rapidly increase healthcare system capacities. RPM makes it possible for healthcare staff to simultaneously support multiple patients regardless of distance or time between carer and patient. Medtech company COVID-19 Telemedicine ApS provides COVID-19 clinical protocols for remote screening and monitoring of patients. The EU-funded project COVID-19 Telemedicine (of the same name) will take the solution to the next level of technological readiness. In addition to reducing staff exposure to contagions, the number of emergency department visits and hospitalisations, as well as the duration of hospital stays, the RPM solution provides comfort to anxious patients in home isolation and quarantine. The automated triage makes it a highly scalable and resource efficient infectious disease management tool for COVID-19 and future pandemics.
Objective
COVID-19 telemedicine will provide the solution for remote monitoring and telemedicine for COVID-19 patients. The platform is developed for COPD and heart patients over the past 6 years and with this project we will be able to innovate home-monitoring, scale it up massively and collect big data to analyse the development and patterns through AI. The result will be a fully rolled-out infectious disease management tool for governments all over Europe that will reduce casualties from COVID-19 as well as prepare governments for the next wave of epidemics.
The company is formed to meet the need for a solution for the COVID-19 outbreak. This innovation forms the foundation of the company and the team is put together because they are the right people to execute the vision of actually making a major impact against the novel corona virus. They are experts in scaleup, product development, fundraising, marketing and communication. The support and interest in the solution is massive even at this TRL 8 stage of the first two parts of the full innovation that is threesome. This innovation project will elevate the solution to save lives!
