Final Activity Report Summary - NANOCLUSTERPROTEIN (Multidisciplinary approach to polyoxometalate-protein interactions: mechanisms and biological applications)

Polyoxometalates (POMs) were found to interact with amyloid peptide efficiently. It was observed that the interaction inhibited the aggregation model of amyloid peptide. The results suggested that POMs could serve as good candidates of inhibitors for amyloid fibrillisation.

In addition, some bio-functional POMs were used and their interaction with human serum albumin was determined.
