Objective
The objective of this project is to transfer the state-of-the-art natural language technology, in particular grammar-checking, from Western languages to Bulgarian and Czech.
The approach will be based on large-scale synthetic analysis (as opposed to pattern-matching approaches), allowed by search for pre-defined types of errors in unanalysed strings.
PROGRESS AND RESULTS
1. Transfer and implementation of HPSG and a chart-parser sit to it.
2. Theoretical research on syntaxis of "free" word order in Bulgarian and Czech; empirical research on errors in real texts.
3. Grammer or conjugal.
4. Implementation of the Bulgarian and Czech Grammar OR Conjugal.
