Obiettivo
The training site embraces front-line geoscience facilities from both, academica and industry for effective and mutual knowledge transfer. The students will be integrated in the well-established network with industry securing a The training site embraces front-line geoscience facilities from both, academica and industry for effective and mutual knowledge transfer. The students will be "state-of-the-art" knowledge gain for the students within methodologies, instrumentation and data collection in offshore geoscience environment. In addition the training program will have a close interaction with the collaborating institutes (GPHY and MI) in order to secure an interdisciplinary approach to the high latitude oceans researches
The training of the doctoral students will be focused on:
- Better understanding of basic processes in a nature system, extreme environments;
- an understanding of the surface and subsurface sediment architecture, to quantify various mass sediment transport processes;
- a better understanding of slope stability in glacially induced areas;
- application of 3D on Quaternary deposits;
- methodologies to use on numerical models.
