Obiettivo
The proposed work includes integral and separate effect tests to study fission product retention in steam generator tube rupture sequences. The boundary conditions for the experiments are taken from existent PSA level 2 analysis and by performing additional analysis with integral codes. In the experiments scaled down models of PWR and VVER-440 steam generators and small scale facilities are used. A comprehensive database from the integral and separate effect experimental programmes is utilised in the model development. Models for localisated deposition processes are implemented in codes to analyse the integral experiments. Here also advanced aerosol models implemented in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) environments are used. Finally the model is scaled up for full size steam generators and implemented in system level code(s). Finally the effectiveness of different accident management procedures are assessed.
