Obiettivo
Todays consumption patterns ask for HiCS, i.e. customised solutions for specific customers in specific contexts of use and in specific socio-cultural and physical habitats. The project aims at defining the technological and organisational architecture of HiCS design, production and delivery system, i.e. an agile and customer-driven network of units that co-operate to provide value added solutions.
To this purpose, the SOP methodology is developed to build these networks and deliver HiCS at shorter time to market, less life-cycle cost and improved eco-efficiency. This methodology is implemented by four industrial users and a consumer association to design new solutions that allow people with reduced mobility to prepare and eat food. Four permanent HiCS centres are established by four research centres to support other companies in implementing the SOP meth.
