ELinCPM is an ICT Construction Project Management System, which integrates quality management aspects and other aspects prioritised by the company like logistics, environment, quality occupational health and safety. The system is made in an English version, but also available in Spanish and Norwegian versions. It is made on a Microsoft (R) platform with Microsoft Explorer as the web browser. The demo version of the ELinCPM- system is located on http://elincpm.prosjektportal.no. Contact Terje.Forsund@holteprosjekt.no, and you will get the access to the system. A PowerPoint presentation of the system is located on http://www.byggforsk.no/bsm/en/ELinCPM-HolteProsjekt.ppt. The user manual is on http://www.byggforsk.no/bsm/en/ELinCPM. The system can be used as a common project management tool for the participants in a project with access trough Internet. Management and administrative documentation can be placed in the "project archives" together with the procedures and forms.
Improvement and implementation methodology is integrated and further developed as part of the ELinCPM project. The results are: "The 5-step Model single project" (Norway) based on Byggforsk 5-step model, The Four Step Model (Spain) also based on the 5-step model, but adapted to Spanish tradition. These two models were tested in projects in the SMEs and will be used in projects in the future. In Germany the five step methodology was used making logistic procedures. The Italians used a stepwise methodology when improving their purchasing procedures. The Portuguese used a top-down approach in preparation and implementation of new procedures. Quality Management tradition was basic for all methods.
