Obiettivo

X2-NOISE addresses the issue of aircraft noise, a major cause of concern around European airports, through complementary objectives in the strategic and dissemination domains - Formulation of key topics and efficient coordination of technology projects in complementarity with national activities, through development of common strategies, benchmarking, expertise mapping and promotion of novel ideas. - Identification of necessary expertise and instruments to support / develop EU policies in the area of airport noise management - Communication about noise reduction prospects and technological achievements towards General Public, Scientific Communities and Policy Making EU/Government Agencies and International Bodies Expected results are consistent with current EC work program goal of 10 dB reduction in the long term as well as newly formulated 2020 Vision. The total partnership involves over 25 organisations from 11 EU countries and 4 Accession States. The project associates a well-balanced percentage of industry (including SME's) and academic expertise
