Obiettivo In experiments aiming to achieve thermonuclear fusion in a magnetically controlled plasma the interaction of the boundary plasma with the vessel walls plays a vital role. The high power load to the wall through energetic particles leads to erosion, limiting the lifetime of the wall components, contaminating the plasma core and building up high radioactive tritium inventories in redeposited layers. The solution of this problem is a highly interdisciplinary task involving plasma physics, surface physics, material engineering and technology. While in sattelite specialised meetings individual problems are discussed in detail, the PSI 2000 brings scientists from all these fields of science together. Only from these large meetings, promoting the interaction of scientists from the different fields, an important step in the integral solution of this complex problem can be expected.ftp://ftp.cordis.lu/pub/improving/docs/HPCF-2000-00150-1.pdf Campo scientifico natural sciencesphysical sciencesplasma physics Programma(i) FP5-HUMAN POTENTIAL - Programme for research, technological development and demonstration on "Improving the human research potential and the socio-economic knowledge base" (1998-2002) Argomento(i) 1.4.1.-3.1S7 - Physics Invito a presentare proposte Data not available Meccanismo di finanziamento ACM - Preparatory, accompanying and support measures Coordinatore Type of Event: Large Conference Contributo UE Nessun dato Indirizzo This event takes place in Rosenheim Germania Mostra sulla mappa Costo totale Nessun dato
