Description:
The Berlin Neutron Scattering Center (BENSC) is a major European neutron scattering facility with several outstanding features, including cold neutrons and advanced sample environment for investigations under extreme sample conditions: high static magnetic fields up to 17T, high, low and ultra low temperatures, and high pressure. The advanced BENSC neutron scattering facilities provide high-class condensed matter research in many fields, e.g. solid state physics, magnetism, crystallography and structural chemistry, soft and complex matter research, structure and dynamics of proteins and membranes, and fundamental and applied material science and engineering For researchers from throughout the Member States of the Community and the Associated States, BENSC offers scientific and technical assistance and free access to 14 instruments: Two- and Three-Axis Diffractometer, SANS, Spin-Echo- and Time-of-Flight Spectrometer, Reflectometer, and Neutron- and X-ray scattering Residual Stress Analysis.
Application:
Applications for access to the BENSC facilities should be made electronically by using the On-line Proposal Submission (OPS) system at
