Obiettivo
This interdisciplinary thematic network of research institutions includes political scientists, sociologists, and social psychologists.
It tackles three interrelated questions:
What is the impact of Europeanization on the collective identities of social groups in various countries and on various levels of social organization and subjective affiliation?
Which role do public discourses in the media and private debates among citizens play in these processes of identity formation and change?
What are the precise mechanisms by which collective identities change?
The network plans to organize joint workshops, visits of scholars to research institutions within the network, to involve graduate students and junior scholars in the activities, and to organize outreach activities for practitioners and policy-makers.
