Obiettivo
The objectives of this action is to enable ERCIM, the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics, to help NIS scientists to participate in joint research projects and to create the adequate working conditions for them. This will include direct financial help (grants), access to modern computer equipment and the setting up of several centres in the NIS for scientists to meet and work together. The co-operative network will involve up to 200 researchers working on the research of mutual interest.
The detailed definition of joint projects will take place through seminars organised in both the NIS and Western Europe. The network will organise a scientific council to coordinate the research and decide on the possible incorporation of new members.
