The cytotoxic proteins responsible for cancer cell death

Résultats exploitables

The project lead to a number of findings that may give important insights into the mechanism of cell death. In particular, monoclonal antibodies to the novel LAK cells proteins were obtained. These antibodies are used to screen cDNA expression libraries prepared from LAK cells RNA. The antibodies obtained possessed the immunocrossreactivity to the LAK cells proteins and the novel cytotoxic proteins TAG7. The affinity-sorbent with high specificity to LAK cells proteins was prepared. The human TAG7 was found in activated lymphocytes. It was found that both TNF and LAK cells proteins induced apoptotic death in non-metastatic tumour cell lines and did not effect the metastatic tumour cell lines.
