Project description
Solutions for environmentally sustainable aviation
Environmental sustainability is instrumental for the future of aviation. The EU-cofunded PJ37-W3 ITARO project will provide rapid deployment of combined solutions to increase network performance dealing with delay constraints on arrivals and encourage green aviation while improving punctuality and efficiency. The project includes three validation parts. Firstly, it will conduct several real-time simulations for departures and arrivals and perform a live trial on Interval Management. Secondly and thirdly it will complement the solution data packs and the validation exercises performed by PJ.07-W2-39 and PJ.01-W2-08 respectively. PJ.07-W2-39 involved local DCB (FMP), air space users and an airport operator at CDG Aerodrome; while PJ.01-W2-08 expansion focusses on optimised descent operations and reduction of airborne times induced by novel arrival management.
