IPTS report opportunity
The European Commission's Institute for prospective technological studies in Seville is calling for tenders for the production and delivery of its monthly bulletin, the 'IPTS Report'. The contractor will be required to produce ten issues per year in 4 languages: English (3300 copies); French (1300 copies); German (700 copies); and Spanish (1200 copies). The 48 to 52 page bulletins should contain around 19000 to 21000 words printed in sub A4 format and in 2 colours, with the exception of the cover pages and an occasional insert, which are to be printed in full colour, on recycled paper. Production operations for each issue have to be concluded in a maximum of 25 working days. The main tasks comprised in the production of each issue are: - journalistic editing of the master text provided by the IPTS in English; - translation of the master text from English to French, German and Spanish, and proof reading; - laying out of the text in a given format, photo composing and printing. - distribution of the printed copies to a list of approximately 5000 subscribers; - preparation of the html version of the issue in the format required for publishing on the IPTS website.
