10th International Conference on Turbochargers and Turbocharging, London, UK
Current emission legislations and environmental trends for reducing carbon dioxide emissions and fuel consumption exert a major influence on the transport (land and marine) and industry. As a result, reducing the size of internal combustion engines is a driver for development. Novel systems, including hybrid, electric-motor and exhaust waste energy recovery systems for high efficiency, response, reliability, durability and compactness, are required to provide solutions.
For large engines, a big challenge is to enhance the high specific power and efficiency while reducing emission levels with variable quality fuels. This will require turbocharging systems for very high boost pressure, efficiency and system flexibility.
The conference will focus on the application of turbocharger and other pressure charging devices in passenger car and commercial vehicles. It will be a forum for discussions and exchange for researchers and industry on all current and novel aspects of turbocharging systems design for boosting solutions for engine downsizing. For further information, please visit: http://events.imeche.org/EventView.aspx?EventID=1136
