Auralisation and visualisation software: User's manual

A manual on how to use the software tools of Deliverable D42

Database for vibration emission, ground transmission and building transfer functions

The report will describe the format for the database of both experimental and computed results For experimental data a detailed description will be given of each measurement site and the associated data The database will also contain sets of precomputed ground impedance and transfer functions that can be integrated into the new prediction tool for ground vibration A detailed description will be given of each case

Track-independent vehicle indicator and method for transposition of vibration emission data

Report describing the proposed methods limitations and test cases The proposed trackindependent vehicle indicator will be described and results of simulations will be reported to demonstrate its applicability and limitations The deliverable will also contain results of simulations representing examples of transposition cases based on advanced numerical models of ground vibration and corresponding results using the new prediction tool

Methodology for auralisation and visualisation of railway noise

Technical report on methods and tools for physicsbased railway noise auralisation and visualisation with descriptions of the modelling approaches

Ground vibration software: User's Manual

The Users Manual will describe in detail all aspects of the vibration prediction tool This includes besides the description of the user interface the theoretical basis of the applied methods and the description of the interfaces for input and output

State-of-the-art and concept of vibration prediction tool

Report including the stateoftheart for prediction models for railway induced vibration defining the concept and framework for a vibration prediction tool that can be used for environmental vibration impact assessment of new and upgraded railway lines

Validation of the prototype vibration prediction tool against documented cases

Report including a comparison of the results obtained with a stateoftheart numerical model with the results obtained with the prototype vibration prediction tool The report will also include a detailed description of the experimental case histories including all relevant parameters and data with uncertainty estimation the measured response quantities eg transfer functions vibration levels during train passages and the comparison with the results obtained with the prototype vibration prediction tool

Auralisation and VR application tools

Newly developed auralisation and visualisation tools will be released including a standalone auralisation software and a VR application
