Stakeholder mapping (öffnet in neuem Fenster)Creation of country leadership teams (öffnet in neuem Fenster)
In each country a leadership team will be created. This small core team needs to include local opinion leaders from different backgrounds: oncology, palliative care, homecare, healthcare managers, and family caregivers and patient representatives (6-8 people in each team). They will co-design a local plan on how to adapt and implement the PAL-CYCLES framework to the local situation.
The protocol of the process evaluation will be a multiple case study design, capturing information on a) regional/national policy documents and guidelines on transitional care from oncology to palliative care; b) local leaders perspective on adaptation of PAL-CYCLES programme; c) health professionals experiences with PAL-CYCLES. It will include the search strategy to identify regional/national policy documents and guidelines. It will include focus groups with country-lead teams to have an overview of the barriers and facilitators to adjusting the programme for each country (After WP1 ‘Development and local adaptation of the PAL-CYCLES’). It will also include the methodological description to explore different health professional’s perspectives on barriers and facilitators to applying/using the programme with patients during their clinical work. This data collection will be towards the end of the recruitment period of the clinical trial (WP3) to avoid interferences. The barriers and facilitators of the process will be based on the Hexagon model. This model will guide the exploration of Needs, Capacity, Fit, Evidence, Supports and Usability of PAL-CYCLES
