The project website and social media outlets will be set up at the beginning of the project to ensure the project's timely online visibility and throughout the entire project duration to provide easily accessible information to a range of audiences.

D2.3 Stakeholder survey results (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Part of the work undertaken in WP2 focuses on the development, delivery, and analysis of a standardised, largely quantitative survey tool to investigate public and stakeholder perceptions of the selected pollutants, priorities and barriers. The survey will provide insight into who is perceived as facilitators to action and what unintended consequences have been encountered. The survey will also include a section collecting best practice actions that will be followed up and documented further. This survey approach will provide new quantitative social data pertaining to the priority pollution issues, which will allow for multivariate statistical analysis. A comprehensive report on the survey results will be delivered as D2.3.

D3.1 Report of 3 regional living lab meetings (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Living Labs which will take place in the Mediterranean, the North East Atlantic and the Black Sea will experiment with and result in a set of identified dominant barriers and desired opportunities for each regional pollutant. The results of these labs will be reported on in D3.1.

D4.4. Case Study Pollutant factsheets (si apre in una nuova finestra)

A series of 'Case Study Pollutant Factsheets' (D4.4) will be developed in collaboration with WP6 containing the finalised and combined 'Integrated Analysis and Scenario Development'.

D6.5 Yearly newsletter (No.2) (si apre in una nuova finestra)

The project will develop a library of material to facilitate project specific science communication in support of stakeholder engagement activities and project outreach to diverse project audiences and impact creation for project deliverables, which includes 4 yearly newsletters that will be made available through the project website.

D4.1. Knowledge and outcomes from T4.1-T4.4 summarised in the ‘integrated analysis' section of the individual case study pollutant template (si apre in una nuova finestra)

D4.1 will include a summary of the current emissions, risks (exposure and hazard), value chain, technological and governance strategies for case study pollutant across European seas. Once completed, D4.1 will be combined with D4.2 into a single document, which will allow for both the integrated analysis and scenario development steps to be reported and transferred in a structured and harmonised process. A draft version, with preliminary information on the performance of the tasks, will be uploaded by month 18.

D4.3 Knowledge and outcomes from T4.5 (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Task 4.3 aims to map the existing value chains related to PFAS and TWPs, and the current and future technological actions and strategies that limit (the effect) of emissions of Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances and Tyre Ware Particles. The outcomes of this task are summarised in the 'integrated analysis template' (M4.3).

D3.2 SWOT analysis of 3 regional living labs (si apre in una nuova finestra)

A SWOT Analysis report will be produced after the completion of the 3 Regional Living Labs Session 1. Through this SWOT analysis, governance needs, dominant barriers, potential opportunities and tradeoffs are identified, all in co-creation with the various stakeholder groups involved in the Living Lab. Moreover, the SWOT analysis will allow for experimenting and selecting a preferred (set of) scenario(s) or make adaptations to the scenarios (D3.2). D3.2 will serve as input into WP5 where EU scenarios are developed and assessed by the EU Living Lab Parliament. The results of this SWOT Analysis will feed into the road map process in WP5, where EU scenarios are developed and assessed by the EU Living Lab Parliament.

D2.1 In-depth overview of gaps between the current and desired environmental state (si apre in una nuova finestra)

D2.1 will provide an overview of Zero Pollution governance in the EU including relevant legislation and policy processes (e.g. in the context of MSFD & WFD, EU Green Deal’s ambition, EU strategy for plastics in a circular economy, Regional Seas conventions, directives (e.g. SUP)) and EC communications (e.g. for sustainable blue economy, Mission Starfish). The assessment will focus on the priority pollutants selected in the SOS-ZEROPOL2030 project (nutrient input, contaminants, microplastics, underwater noise) and will identify the relevant policy targets and objectives for 2030-2050 (future goals) and the proposed environmental state (reference state). The current environmental state is mapped for the selected priority pollutants, which will allow benchmarking between the two states. Task 2.1 will produce an in-depth overview of gaps, challenges, and barriers in pollution governance (D2.1), serving as a knowledge base for the stakeholder consultations in WP2.

D4.2 Overview (report, one for each region) of obstacles and best practices within the current regional and national governance landscape to achieve zero pollution of the case study pollutants. (si apre in una nuova finestra)

D4.2 is an overview (report, one for each region) of obstacles and best practices within the current regional and national governance landscape to achieve zero pollutant of the selected pollutant case studies. Once completed, D4.2 will be combined with D4.1 into a single document, which will allow for both the integrated analysis and scenario development steps to be reported and transferred in a structured and harmonised process.

D2.2 Overview of the existing governance landscape and the constraints and best practices of current governance efforts to achieve zero pollution for the selected priority pollutants (si apre in una nuova finestra)

D2.2 focuses on studying the existing governance landscape and identifying the constraints and best practices of current governance efforts at EU level to achieve zero pollution for the selected priority pollutants. It will identify the main policy domains within the EU related to different selected pollutants and explore how actors (including regional sea conventions and member states), through existing multi-level institutions and procedures, develop and enforce policies and regulations. Results of this work will be synthesized in this overview report.

D6.1 Communication and exploitation strategy and dissemination plan (Initial Plan) (si apre in una nuova finestra)

This report will focus on effective knowledge and information exchange between project audiences, stakeholders, and partners to support the project’s extensive stakeholder engagement in WP2 and WP3 and to ensure that project findings and outputs reach relevant policy and decision makers, private sector organizations and industry and the public in an audience appropriate format. The strategy will include a dedicated dissemination plan, which is a live document that guides the communication and dissemination activities of the project, by identifying WP specific communication and dissemination opportunities to reach WP specific audiences (both general and specific), specifying guidelines and protocols for overall project dissemination and communication and outlining methods that ensure the project communication is accessible for target audiences.
