Report on social acceptability of innovative measures for reducing nutrient inputs into the Wadden Sea. The report will include a comparison of the results on social acceptance from each country and conclusions will be drawn on the feasibility of additional measures and on how social acceptance of certain measures could be improved, e.g. by showing environmental impacts, financial aspects and moral reasons (task 2.4).

Policy brief. Final version of policy recommendations identifying synergies, exchanging good practices and providing evidence for EU policy developments (task 5.4).

Mid-term cluster activities with sister projects report (si apre in una nuova finestra)

In this deliverable, an overview of all cluster activities with sister projects will be given at month 18. Part of task 5.3.

Report from the Stakeholder Workshop presenting the methodology for assessing the effectiveness of nutrient reduction strategies related to water management (task 2.1).

Mid-term policy brief. First draft of policy recommendations identifying synergies, exchanging good practices and providing evidence for EU policy developments (task 5.4).

Report describing the four nutrient reduction scenarios developed in task 3.3 (selected set of measures).

Initial plan for dissemination and exploitation including communication activities (si apre in una nuova finestra)

All information about dissemination and communication activities implemented and measure of their success and impact will be delivered in the Dissemination and Communication follow-up reports (task 5.1).

Report on Review of Indicators used in the WFD, MSFD and in OSPAR as described in Task 4.1.

Final plan for dissemination and exploitation including communication activities (si apre in una nuova finestra)

An overview of all the dissemination activities including the meeting minutes from advisory board meetings in month 6, 14 and 26 (task 5.1 and 5.3). These activities will be set out for 4 years after the end of the project.

Framework for assessing the feasibility of nutrient reduction strategies related to water management. This framework will be based on the EU fitness Check methodology and should allow an assessment how effective and efficient the existing nutrient reduction strategies are (task 2.1).

Evaluation of Scenarios (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Report on evaluation of scenarios in terms of ecosystem health outlined in Task 4.6 suggesting whether and to what extent additional reduction measures are needed.

Cluster activities with sister projects report (si apre in una nuova finestra)

In this deliverable, an overview of all cluster activities with sister projects will be given. Part of task 5.3.

A progress report period including all the minutes of meetings in this first period as well as a summary of progress of coordination activities (task 1.1).

Report on the effectiveness of measures for the Rhine, Elbe and Hunze case study areas, as a result of model simulations run as part of task 3.5, for the four scenarios from task 3.3, using the models developed in task 3.2. The effectiveness will be quantified in terms of the reduction of nutrient concentrations and loads for each scenario combined with ensemble climate projections.

Recommendations for general policy harmonisation, presented in a webinar to EU Policy makers. Based on the lessons learned from the Wadden Sea, we will upscale them to the EU level showing which harmonisation is still needed, what the barriers are to do so and which are the main actors that need to be involved in such a harmonisation process (task 2.2).

Report on safe ecological limits developed for the case studies (Hunze, Rhine, Elbe Estuary, Wadden Sea described in Tasks 4.2 – 4.5. The Report will suggest maximum nutrient loads needed to reach the proposed safe ecological limits.

Report Feasibility of Measures (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Report on the feasibility of measures to reduce nutrient inputs in the Elbe and Rhine. This report will show the results of the application of D2.1 for the existing measures (task 2.3).

Synthesis of Scenarios (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Report on Synthesis of scenarios leading to safe ecological limits outlined in Task 4.7 presenting an integrated river-estuary-coast view on the effects of different reduction scenarios on aquatic health as a basis for safe ecological limits

A final progress report including all the minutes of meetings in this first period as well as a summary of progress of coordination activities (task 1.1).

Website (si apre in una nuova finestra)

A NAPSEA website will be created presenting the consortium and project results (task 5.1).

Recommendation on improving coherence for current nutrient reduction strategies as applied to the Wadden Sea. Based on D2.2 and other sources of information we will make recommendations on how to improve the coherence between current nutrient reduction strategies. This applies to the strategies between different sectors, but also to the transboundary level (task 2.2).

Report of the Stakeholder Workshop with policy makers relevant for the Wadden Sea to discuss the recommendations under D2.3 (task 2.1)

Calibrated and validated models of nutrient fate and transport in the catchments of the Rhine, Elbe and Hunze case study areas using data from D3.1. The models are developed and validated as part of task 3.2. Their performance is described in a report.

Database with data, collected as part of task 3.1 on: nutrient input, output concentration and fluxes, algae and catchment properties of the local case studies. Purposes of the database are both to provide data as model input and for model validation and calibration. The database will be as much as possible publicly available, following the FAIR principles.

The initial DMP will consider the specificities of the online Data Repository and its database, as well as ‘gold open access’ to data, publications and other work products to the extent possible. Inclusion of stakeholders and outcomes of workshops and other stakeholder interactions will be incorporated, including innovation development (task 5.2).
