Brief Report on Conceptual Framework for SI ecosystems (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

As part of our strategy to expose social innovation/entrepreneurship actors in wider innovation ecosystems, we will identify online media opportunities (magazines, journals, sector press) in our stakeholder target groups (SMEs and start-ups, accelerators and business incubators, industry, investors, philanthropy societies and the public sector) and develop content partnerships to share our learning and the tools/models in the SI in Action manual to audiences beyond the social innovation community. We will also identify appropriate channels for social media dissemination, based on the European level target groups.

1st of three online meetings during which P1 EMUNI ensures all partners are adhering to their responsibilities and the project timelineEMUNI will oversee the agenda minutes and supporting papersEfficient use of financial and time resources is at the core of the management strategy of CHESS a mixture of online meetings will be used to efficiently support communication inside the consortium whenever possible especially for the monthly meetings

Role of participants - All partnersRather than create yet another network for social entrepreneurs and innovators, we will capitalise on the networks of all consortium partners. However, in particular, we will utilise the already existing open platform of the ISPIM and its Special Interest Groups (SIGs), which use digital technologies as well as face-to-face interaction during conferences to connect a global network of actors working on specific innovation topics. We will take two approaches: 1) invite social innovators and entrepreneurs to be part of existing SIGs, thereby further integrating actors and social innovation dimension in already active innovation management networks; and 2) Create a new special interest group on social innovation which will mix social entrepreneurs and wider innovation ecosystem actors around specific societal challenges.

Final local knowledge transfer event (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Local final sharing event in each country to share learning from the implementation (how to integrate social innovation actors in an ecosystem) Role of participants: ESFA, PJA, EMUNI, CERTH.The aim of the task is for each Action partner to host a final local event in their respective countries, bringing all the stakeholders across the ecosystem together who have been involved to give them the overall view of what happened during the process and to present the final SI in Action manual. The 4 final events will be designed to facilitate skills & knowledge transfer and stakeholders from different contexts. Additional stakeholders will be invited using a snowball effect. Participants will start thinking how to adapt the model and potentially replicate it elsewhere in Europe and beyond taking in account the different social, cultural and economic background of different countries or regions.

Through the extensive networks of the CHESS partners, we will identify six major innovation events to attend as platforms for actively sharing learning from the project and to transfer knowledge and building capacities among the innovation actors so that they would be better equipped to work with the social innovators and entrepreneurs.In particular, we will work with CERTH to connect to tech hubs across Europe, and with ESFA and SIX to link into the network of European Social Innovation Competence Centres.
