Assessment of the existing monitoring and control infrastructure and guidelines for THUMBS-UP Integration
(si apre in una nuova finestra)
This report compiles the results of Task 11 and 12 integrating an analysis of the existing monitoring systems of demo and validation sites including a preliminary simulation to confirm the size of the TES solutions Besides the deliverable includes an analysis of the modifications needed to implement in CARTIF III in order to allow the integration of TES systems to be validated Finally a set of guidelines about existing regulations and health and safety aspects with indications to minimize risks during the integration of the TES solutions in residential and terciary buildings will be included
Modelling of THUMBS-UP Solutions: building integration and thermoeconomic approach
(si apre in una nuova finestra)
"""The goal is to set up a model suite composed by performance modelling, dynamic modelling, thermoeconomic modelling. In this task the demo buildings will be modelled considering load estimations during the whole year. The models developed within this task will be validated experimentally along the project mostly thanks to dedicated campaign in WP4. The individual models of TES solutions will allow the possibility to simulate different sizes, the use of diverse materials and configurations and will be integrated in the building models, with the aim of developing a smart controller and to evaluates the overall performances.A dedicated thermoeconomic 0D-1D models will be developed to optimize the size of THUMBS-UP storage systems according to available building demand as well as to study their optimal management in different configurations (Power-to-heat mode, coupled to DHN etc.)."
