Deliverables
An international workshop allowing to share SIMBAD results with academic audiences and the broader public (via targeted events like public talks, sessions or round tables that will be organised within the meetings), and an international School providing extra training for young researchers. The School will be open to PhD students and postdocs outside SIMBAD, and will include specific time slots for fosteringing interactions and joint projects. Core topics will be quantitative studies (theoretical, computational and experimental) at the physics-biology interface, including —but not limited to— sequence-fitness landscapes, experimental evolution, pathogen evolution, optimality and tradeoffs in cell growth, origin and consequences of cell-to-cell diversity, quantitative laws for cell communities, inverse modelling epidemic networks, models of epidemic risk, advanced survival analysis models, biological design principles, mathematical approaches to inverse modelling.
