Report of the initial mathematical model of the process

This report will detail the initial results obtained in the Task 4.3 of the process modelling. In the report, there will be information on the development of the process models, focused on the main core processes of VALORISH biorefinery, validation against existing experimental data and modelling results. The advance of the models will depend on the availability of the experimental data and the advances on the Task. This report will be fed by all experimental information to be used in process models development: in all Tasks of WP1; Tasks 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 from WP2. Moreover, the report will be used as an input for the MDO (T4.4 in WP4), for the basic design and engineering (T5.1) in WP5, and to use it in the assessment and standardisation and certification methodologies of WP6.
Report of the initial advances of the LCA

This report will present the initial work done in the Task 6.1 regarding the environmental impact analysis of the VALORISH processes by life cycle analysis methodology. In the report the LCA baseline should be settled. To prepare the report, it will be fed by all the technical WP, where there are data that may have any environmental impact, and all technical partners may provide information to help to complete the LCA inventories. This report will be used in the preparation on the final LCA results report (D6.3) of Task 6.1.
Report on the definition of the requirements for the bioproducts properties

This report will present the requirements definition of the properties of the bioproducts analysed in Task 3.1. The requirements will be defined in terms of food safety, toxicological properties, chemical and nutritional composition of the bioproducts, and bioactive properties for the required use (e.g. minimum level of food conservative effect of FPH to use it as conservative).

This report will consist of the publication of the initial version of the PDEC from Tasks of WP7, regarding Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation activities. This report will introduce and detail the initial explanation of the PDEC in the project proposal. This report will be regularly updated and presented in the next deliverables of the PDEC.
Intermediate version of the PDEC - Plan for the dissemination, exploitation and communication activities

This report will consist of the publication of the intermediate version of the PDEC from Tasks of WP7, and an update of the D7.3, regarding Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation activities. This report will be regularly updated by the end of the project.
Report on the screening and selection of proteolytic bacteria

This report will explain the results of the Task 4.1, where computational biology tools will be used for bacteria screening for the protein hydrolysis process. The report may include the methodology and results obtained in the data-mining process related to proteolytic enzymes and the HMMs developed, and eventually, the sequenced organisms to expand the resources for proteolytic fermentation. This report will feed the Task 1.2 of WP1.
Feedstocks of the VALORISH process

This report includes the results of the Task 1.1, detailing the conclusions of the analysis and selection of the available feedstocks to valorise in the project, coping with different composition of the available fish industry biomass. The results will feed the feedstock processing activities in the Tasks 1.2 and 1.3 in WP1, and Task 2.3 in WP2. Moreover, the feedstock data will help to the bacteria selection in Task 4.1 in WP4, and in the upscaling activities in WP5.
Initial policy brief

In this report, there will be synthesised the initial VALORISH research findings into actionable recommendations for policymakers in the context of the WP7. It will outline the project context, significance, and evidence-backed conclusions, offering clear guidance on policy decisions.
Public summary of initial results on bioproduct production and sidestream valorisation

This report will include a public summary of the initial results of the Tasks involved in WP2. It will include details that can be published and are not sensitive regarding, as a target, one bioproduction case using FPH as substrate (Task 2.1), one bioproduct purification approach (Task 2.2), one sample of fishbone valorisation by extracting collagen and producing FBP (Task 2.3) and, if available, one sample of fermentative biomass residuals valorisation from the proteolytic fermentation by anaerobic digestion (Task 2.4).
