Obiettivo
RECOS proposes a comprehensive and innovative way of understanding key factors contributing to urban resilience of coworking spaces (CWS) under the impact of external shocks. However, dynamic perspective and supply-related aspects of CWS aspects are not fully understood.
Therefore, RECOS aims at addressing knowledge gaps regarding the lack of longitudinal, spatial perspective on the resilience of CWSs on the intra-urban level and the dynamics of the coworking location and shifting location factors as well as knowledge gap regarding the underrepresentation of the demand perspective, namely hybrid-workers, with regard to urban location strategies.
RESOS foresees to address these objectives and gaps by a) creating CWS resilience assessment framework; b) mapping location patterns and location factors of CWS; c) designing a prototype online platform that exploits spatial syntax for optimising individual work location strategies.
Training programme implemented at TUDelft and supervised by prof. dr. Hilde Remy, associate professor with 15 years of experience in research on adaptive reuse of real estate, will allow me to diversify my individual competences. RECOS will enhance my career and leadership capabilities in project management through interdisciplinary research, improve implementation of experimental design techniques, and improve academic writing for publication purposes.
A two-way transfer of knowledge is guaranteed since RECOS combines my expertise in policy and demand factors of CWSs resilience with the hosts expertise in urban design and supply factors of CWSs resilience. Impacts include empowering individuals in informed life-work choices, knowledge on remote work, commuting, improved CWS profitability and occupancy. Therefore, RECOS will contribute to Europes knowledge-based economy and society by providing valuable knowledge on EU Missions regarding resilience of regions and communities and climate neutral and smart cities.
