During the project, we have performed several business and technological activities. We have performed an in-depth market analysis, determining customer segment sizes and their geographical distribution. We have identified and contacted several new partners, i.e. potential resellers, strategic partners and investors. We have also explored possible marketing and sales approaches and channels and included related budgets into the business model. Furthermore, we have prepared a business plan, which contains financial data (costs, projections), human resource management, IPR possibilities, risk assessment, operations management and relevant periods.
As per technological activities, we have prepared initial User Experience design for the product: personas use cases, user flows, informational architecture, wireframes and mock-ups. In addition, graphic design activities took place, where we considered the characteristics of target users for the platform (biomedical researchers) and focused on usability and intuitiveness. Moreover, we upgraded the underlying platform back-end to the level where it is more stable and responsive to user-actions on the web interface. In addition, new analysis types are supported and new visualization modules have been developed to facilitate exploratory analysis of big data.
The main deliverable of the project is the feasibility report, which also includes the business plan and presents the results of all activities performed during the project. It includes detailed specification of major GenX components.
