An experimental determination of the near-filed of wireless C2C components will be served as input for the numerical simulation done in WP6. The measurement set-up tested in WP1 need to be enhanced to describe stochastic fields by performing 2 or more point measurements efficiently at different positions and coherent in time. A report on this will be delivered.
Antenna prototypes on mm and cm scaleDriven by the know-how at NXP, schemes for integrated antenna arrangements with potential for C2C communication (dipole, zigzag, ground–plate...) will be designed, manufactured and tested both scaled up (cm range) and at the chip level scale (mm and sub-mm range) in close cooperation with WP5.
Software for C2C modelling will be developed.
Numerical solvers for propagating noisy EMFModelling methods for the multi-scale propagation of EM fields (nano to micro scale for chip structure, mm to cm scale for chip enclosure and wavelengths for 10-100 GHz range) with stochastic components coming from different physical sources (thermal, interference, cross talk, wired interconnects and IC components etc) will be developed. Numerical solvers for propagating modulated, coded and stochastic EMF in complex environments will be developed.
Kick-off meetingA kick-off meeting taking place in Nottingham will be organised at least 15 days after the start of the project.
Managing the project will be done overall by UoN. Organize the project meetings; supervision of the project and the procedures between board meetings; setting up a project web page including a work board;

Communication and presentation including DMPProtocols and guidelines will be set up which will help future design efforts. Implementation of the modelling software into existing software packages will be evaluated and planed. Extension of the modelling tools to other research areas such as EMC compliance and reverberation chamber design and testing will be evaluated. Workshops including dedicated transfer of knowledge as well as exploitation events and the final conference will be organised. A DMP will be set up within the first 6 months of the project. Data pool as part of DMP will be made available.
