Deliverables

Guideline document on DST integration

A non-technical guideline will be produced to describe the DST integration procedures developed in the SAFE-10-T project. This will be published on the website and advertised in the newsletter.

Report on Machine learning algorithms

A report describing the machine learning algorithm developed to improve risk assessment at object and network levels will be delivered. At the object level this will detail how to incorporate SHM and climate/traffic info, at the network level forecasts of demand will be addressed. It will be published on the SAFE-10-T website. The deliverable is linked to task 3.3.

Report on Network Model

The report will describe the macroscopic network traffic model developed within SAFE-10-T. With a focus on nodes and interchanges, the model will identify gaps between demand and current capacity. It will be used to perform stress tests to assess the systems resilience to climate hazards. The deliverable is linked to task 2.2.

Guideline document on resilience assessment

A non-technical guideline will be produced to describe the SAFE-10-T approach to resilience assessment. This will be published on the website and advertised in the newsletter.

Report on Advanced Safety Model for Tunnels

This report will describe a probabilistic based displacement model for the Heinenoord tunnel and will include measured displacement data. The deliverable is linked to task 1.3.

Report on the results of Case Study 3 – UK

The application of the complete safety framework on a complex urban station will be described. It will be published on the SAFE-10-T website. The deliverable is linked to task 4.3.

A non-technical newsletter will be produced describing the project objectives and including recent work. The newsletter will be updated every six months, sent in pdf form to an extensive mailing list and posted on the project website. The deliverable is linked to task 5.3.

Report on Advanced Safety Model for Bridges

The report will a present probabilistic basis for assessment of bridge structures for various travel modes. A number of novel techniques will be considered including; (i) System analysis, (ii) Load modelling, (iii) extreme value modelling and (iv)the effect of extreme weather events on bridges will be investigated in a manner which targets the likely future failures, considering well defined climate change models. The deliverable is linked to task 1.2.

A non-technical guideline will be produced to describe the SAFE-10-T projects traffic modelling approach. This will be published on the website and advertised in the newsletter.

Report on DST validation

A workshop will be held to demonstrate and debug the DST. A range of end user from within and outside the project will be invited. The deliverable is linked to task 5.1.

A report describing the application of the network model to at the Port of Rotterdam will be delivered. It will be published on the SAFE-10-T website. The deliverable is linked to task 4.1.

Report on Embedded Monitoring Systems

This task will develop a series of methods for self-monitoring of critical infrastructure objects in order to optimise the structural safety models. the application include tunnels, earthworks and bridges. The deliverable is linked to task 1.5.

Report on Advanced Safety Model for Earthworks

This report will describe a probabilistic framework which will evaluate the stability of earth slopes (cuttings, embankments and dykes) considering environmental loading and variation due to climate change. The deliverable is linked to task 1.4.

Report on the results of Case Study 2 – Croatia

A report describing the application of the complete safety framework at the port of Rijeka will be delivered. It will be published on the SAFE-10-T website. The deliverable is linked to task 4.2.

A non-technical guideline will be produced to describe the Safety Management procedures developed in the SAFE-10-T project. This will be published on the website and advertised in the newsletter.

Report on integration of Big Data from and to open source

The core platform to collect, correlate, and make available data from multiple sources for the entire project and specifically for integration with the work undertaken in Task 3.3 (Machine Learning) and in Task 3.4 (the Decision Support Tool) is described. It will be published on the SAFE-10-T website. The deliverable is linked to task 3.2.

Report on User demand analysis

The report will describe the current and future demands of users of the EU road, rail and waterway networks. It will be published on the SAFE-10-T website. The deliverable is linked to task 2.1.

Guideline document for Integrated Safety Management System

A guideline will be developed to describe the economic and environmental analysis part of the SAFE-10-T global safety framework. It will be published on the SAFE-10-T website. The deliverable is linked to task 2.4.

Report on Decision Support Tool

The report will detail how the decision support tool operates. The purpose of the tool is to allow IM's to make robust, cost-effective decisions that maintain safety and maximise network capacity. It will be published on the SAFE-10-T website. The deliverable is linked to task 3.4.

Report on Whole Life Cycle Model

The SAFE-10-T LCA model be developed with the aim of integrating owners, users and societal costs related to transport infrastructure.

A non-technical guideline will be produced to describe the SAFE-10-T projects global safety indicators. This will be published on the website and advertised in the newsletter.

Report on Probabilistic Consideration of Resilience

A guidelines will be presented detailing how the information from embedded monitoring systems can be used to optimise resilience assessment of infrastructure elements. The deliverable is linked to Task 1.1.

A summary report on the global safety framework will be prepared. It will be published on the SAFE-10-T website. The deliverable is linked to task 3.1.

A project specific website will be developed. The site will contain a public section with a project description, public deliverables etc. and a private area where participants can upload information.
