Report of Task 64
Automotive in-cabin components demonstrator productionFirst report about Task 63
Simulation data for input into WP 4The efficiency of microstructure replication on thermoplastic parts via IM will be modelled. It will require inputs from the injection moulding process and the part metrology. The software to be developed53 will simulate the replication efficiency of the microstructures on the polymer part surface, taking into account the part geometry, the polymer material behavior and the IM process parameters. The resulting demonstrator is expected to serve as a production assistant-tool enabling one to control the process parameters and the resulting part quality, while facilitating the manufacturing of such functional parts.
Orthodontics demonstrator productionReport of Task 64
IPC will lead CRF EO and Alba in producing guidelines for implementing the HIMALAIAs technology at factory level It is essential for the consortium to be able to provide companies especially SMEs with such guidelines after the project in order to ensure the sustainability of the HIMALAIA platforms and technology towards 2030
Public summary of the specifications of all three demonstratorsThis public summary of the results of Tasks 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 will enable dissemination whilst not compromising partners' IP.
Communication toolsCommunication tools will include the logo, poster, video, brochure and website.
Minutes of the Meeting with complementary projectsWith the goal of networking concertation and exchange of best practices this report will document a meeting with representatives from complementary projects The report will address bestpractices and joint actions regarding scientific standardisation economic and regulatory issues related to projects results
Report on Life Cycle AssessmentReport of Task 61
Report on new paradigms and ICT tools for HIMALAIA’s technological integration with scenario for broad industrial implementationThis report is linked to Task 56It will report methodologies as well as ICT tools which could enable the rapid integration of advanced IM technologies for the replication of parts with micron and submicron surface structures in current industries Those tools will be related to product design smart manufacturing planning resource management tools for efficient humanmachine interaction logistics etc
Best Practices for IM-based PlatformThis report is linked to Task 56 IPC as task Leader will identify best practices to assist industrial integration of at the factory level UBradford and UoB will participate in the identification of methodology for product design based manufacturing of micron and submicron structures via IM replication CRF EO and Alba will provide feedback about industrial needs at the factory level GFMS and Alicona will provide the consortium with data relevant to the integration and interoperability of hardware and equipment into connected factories
Report on technology transfer towards companies and EU daughter platforms for a 2030 strengthened European manufacturing industryThis will serve as the final report of Task 84
Input to standards concerning functional surfacesThis will be the output of Task 74
The DMP will describe the project’s policy concerning any shared data. It will serve to ensure that any shared data is findable, accessible, interoperable and re-usable (FAIR). It will cover the handling, curation and preservation of research data during and after the end of the project. It will summarise what data will be collected, what data will be shared and via what methodology and standards it will be shared.
This will be the result of Task 76
A multifunctional tool design will be developed and manufactured to study the influence of process variants (rapid mould temperature cycling, inductive heating, injection compression, cavity evacuation, ultrasonic ejection) on the replication of patterns produced on simple inserts. The tool design will be a small scale, low cost concept that can accept a standard insert, allowing parallel studies on different moulding hardware at the UBradford and IPC facilities. Multiple variants of the insert will have a range of surface geometries and laser-prepared patterns which are representative of the end user devices.
