District-level storage/conversion management & coordination engine (SCCE)This deliverable includes the prototype and documentation of the SCCE engine. The latter will optimize storage and conversion deployment and operation in the electricity grid to facilitate RES integration. (T3.5)
End-user requirements and specifications of the PLANET systemThe document provide the user requirements and the detailed specification for the PLANET system and the specification for the design of the system architecture. (T1.1)
Electricity and Gas demand/supply, Heat demand/supply forecasting models for future energy system scenarios (v.1)This report will document models for energy supply – including conventional generation and variable RES - and uncontrollable demand forecasting in the future energy system scenarios. They will include projections of electricity and gas demand and supply. (T3.1-T3.2)
PLANET P2H-enabled human-centric VES moduleThis deliverable includes the documentation and prototype of the building-level optimization module that can integrate the building assets into the PLANET system. It will facilitate market communications and transactions for BAS service procurement as well as coordinate intra-building equipment usage with optimal occupant comfort preservation and fair distribution of costs/returns. (T3.3)
Report on the current regulatory frameworks and proposal for a new integrated regulatory schemeThis report will review the current regulatory schemes. The goal is to point out their limits and propose a new “innovation based” regulatory scheme that would be applied to a holistic energy system comprising electricity, gas and heating. (T6.2)
PLANET system architecture definition (Initial)This report will document the architectural synthesis process as well as the final detailed PLANET system architecture. It will provide a break down of the system functionality into individual system components and encapsulate issues such as: functional behaviour and communication interfaces, implementation technology and deployment options and security. (T1.4)
Data Management PlanThe DMP will outlines the PLANET practices for collecting, organizing, backing up, and storing the data the project will be generating. It will be regularly updated. The DPM will make publicly accessible the data beyond the life of the project. (T8.3)
Standardization punch-listThis report includes a list of proposals that will be forwarded to standardization bodies. They will be formulated according to standard requirements to ease uptake. (T4.5)
Preliminary interfaces between electricity, gas, transportation and heating/ cooling networksThis report will documents the designed interfaces to facilitate the integration of all applicable systems/devices to the electricity, gas, transportation and heating/ cooling networks. Special emphasis will be given to monitoring and control of the systems/devices to satisfy grid requirements/qualifications for BAS service provision and converted power injection or virtual storage (T4.1)
Final PLANET P2H process/system modelThis deliverable includes both documentation and the actual prototypes of the high-level power-to-heat models that will be used in the PLANET system for optimization. They will be validated with measurements or a high-fidelity heat grid thermal-hydraulic simulator. (T2.5)
PLANET simulation model generator and integration to the distribution grid simulation suiteThis deliverable includes the prototype and report for the model generator. This tool will facilitate the integration of the models developed with WP3 into the simulation framework of the project.(T3.6)

It will take into account the competition by alternative storage technologies and the evolution of conventional generation to provide a holistic picture on the future energy storage landscape, pinpoint the killer applications for small-scale P2G and P2HeatGrid units and identify the optimal storage technology to different application areas. Report on activities for the promotion of PLANET standardization punch-listThe report include the recommendation for standardization, elaborated also with the support of the external advisor, in standardization bodies and industrial association. (T7.4)

Report of energy system outlook and scenario definitionThe report includes the detailed analysis of the current harmonized market model for electricity for evaluating the adequacy of existing roles to deploy and operate the PLANET system. This document consists of generate holistic, comprehensive and educated projections on the future of the energy system. (T1.2)
Report on the new market scenario: market functioning and innovative business modelsThis report will document new business models in the emerging landscape shaped by synergies between networks. It will also explore and investigate novel market mechanisms. (T6.1)
PLANET system architecture definition (Final)The document will be report the second version of the architecture design and elaboration, based on the made refinements. (T1.4)
Report on Simulation with Real Data – HW in the LoopThis report will document the results of the coupling of the PLANET system on the Hardware-in-the-Loop simulator. This will provide the means to test the PLANET performance in a near real grid environment. (T5.5)
PLANET Common Information ModelThis report will document in detail the common information model of the PLANET system. The model will ensure the semantic integrity of all system communications and will include aspects ranging from grid integration to human comfort modelling to encapsulate the range of project activities. (T3.4)
Policy/market reform recommendations reportReport on recommendation on policy/regulation and markets. The document will include also recommendation for the transition toward a low carbon economy including active citizen and improved energy security. (T7.3)
Report on PLANET validation activitiesThis report will document in detail the simulation activities that will take place in the real-time simulation facility of POLITO. It will also include validation activities and their outcomes according to the validation methodology specified in D5.1. (T5.3)

Final PLANET P2G process/system modelsThis deliverable includes both documentation and the actual prototypes of the high-level P2G models that will be used in the PLANET system for optimization. Several model prototypes will be developed to enlarge the optimization search space. (T2.4)
Requirements documentation for PLANET system communication & grid interfacesThis report will define the requirements for effective communication & grid interfaces throughout the various system architecture layers to ensure that all necessary information is properly collected and transmitted. Detailed information flow specifications for the complete system will be documented in order to drive the system architecture design, the definition of the PLANET Common Information Model, the project standardization activities and all software development/configuration efforts. (T1.3)
Report on IREN pilot operationReport on the activities that will take place in the actual IREN network. It will document all activities from building selection to equipment installation, testing and evaluation. (T5.4)
This deliverable includes the prototype of the IDOC component as well as its documentation. This component will coordinate all the simulations and will provide the Decision Support System for the user. (T4.3)
PLANET Communication MiddlewareThis deliverable includes the prototype of the PLANET system communication middleware as well as its documentation. This middleware will support communications among all other PLANET system components and will comply to the PLANET common information model. (T4.2)
Integrated PLANET ICT system and documentationThis deliverable includes the integrated PLANET system and the documentation of the software integration and tests. The integrated system will be ready for deployment for simulations in the lab. (T4.4)
