Database representing synthesis of available data on scrubber water content available data on other waste streams and updated emission factors of pollutants will be made available
Report and datasets on shipping contribution to air quality in Europe and case study areasModel predictions of the contributions from shipping emissions to air quality over Europe and selected urban areas will be discussed in this deliverable Contributions to regional and urbanlocal levels of air pollutants such as nitrogen oxides and particulate matter PM25 and PM10 will be stated
Report on outcome from stakeholder discussionsThis deliverable belongs to Task 12 The report will summarize the view of the stakeholders on experience of the use of abatement equipment
Baltic and North Sea reportThis summary report includes an analysis of current status of shipping in the European SECA Impacts of various compliance options will be analysed by simulating pollutant transfer in air and water along with the analysis of health and environmental impacts Performance of future regulation will be assessed and potentially arising new environmental challenges will be identified The D61 is connected to T61
Model updates, description and evaluation reportThis deliverable will describe the evaluation procedure followed to test the model performances It will also highlight areas of model improvement for key air pollutants for European and urban scale applications
Report on measurements of dissolved and particulate contaminants in case study regionsReport with the results of chemical analysis of onboard samples taken from 35 shipscase study including measurement of pH PAHsalkylated PAHs tetrahydrocannabinol THC nitratenitrite metals particulate matter PM and advanced analysis compounds of ecotoxicological relevance
Baseline concentrations of sea water pollutantsAnalysis of the fate of shipemissions in the European Seas as estimated through the combined use of Copernicus marine circulation products and surface maps of vessel pollution deliverable 41 A water chemistry module will be developed for OpenDrift It will be forced by available hydrodynamic models and output from STEAM as described above The analysis will include both fourdimensional maps of pollutant dispersion and fate as well as identification of spatiotemporal and biochemical pathways within the marine environment
Mediterranean Sea reportIn addition to topics described in D61 the Mediterranean Sea report will include an analysis of establishment of SOx ECA in the area The environmental challenges in the Mediterranean Sea are different from those of North SeaBaltic but similar concerns eg human health impact exist This report will combines the results of atmospheric and marine modelling to assess the contribution of shipping airwater pollutionThe D62 is connected to T62
Summary and analysis of available abatement methods for SOx, NOx and PM, together with data on emissions, waste streams, costs and applicabilityThis deliverable belongs to Task 11 The report will review the existing knowledge on abatement measures for ship exhaust Further gaps in knowledge will be identified and reported to WP2 and 3
Multivariate assessment of eco-toxicological response of waste watersA multivariate tool for prediction of ecotoxicological response from waste waters of different constitutions used to rank different wastewaters in relation to their environmental hazardous properties
Report on scrubber water whole effluent toxicity testing, at different geographical regionsResults of ecotoxicological experiments carried out on authentic scrubber waters collected in case studies and using species and life stages of species found in the water column directly affected by the discharged water and representative for each case study area such as algae zooplankton oyster larvae blue mussel larvae and other marine species using an array of endpoints eg fertilization larval development metabolism growth inhibition and mortality
