Pagamenti intelligenti per la ricarica dei veicoli elettrici
Le emissioni del settore dei trasporti dell’UE non si stanno riducendo abbastanza da limitarne l’impatto ambientale e climatico in Europa. Infatti, le emissioni di gas a effetto serra (GES) provenienti dai trasporti sono aumentate dal 2014, perciò il settore rimane una fonte significativa di inquinamento atmosferico. Sebbene le auto elettriche possano contribuire a ridurre gli impatti sulla qualità dell’aria e i cambiamenti climatici, questi veicoli stanno entrando sul mercato a passo di lumaca. Il progetto Navigato, finanziato dall’UE, propone un sistema di micropagamento e localizzazione delle stazioni di ricarica per tutti i fornitori di servizi lungo la catena di distribuzione dell’ecosistema della mobilità. Il sistema offre uno scambio affidabile e sicuro di un’ampia gamma di dati con i proprietari di veicoli elettrici e si basa su un registro distribuito open-source che mira a rafforzare il futuro dell’IoT con microtransazioni senza commissioni e macchine per l’integrità dei dati.
Obiettivo
Transport is one of the few sectors of the European economy where emissions levels are still rising and policymakers have
been under increasing pressure to accelerate the shift to lower emission models. Late 2018, the European Parliament
delivered the low carbon transport industry a major boost by approving draft laws that would impose tough new emissions
cuts on carmakers and boost the number of electric vehicles (EVs) on the roads. However, despite more efficient car
batteries, pole-top transformers, home solar panels and EV management solutions, range anxiety hampers growth. To bring
it all together and boost EV adoption, Navigato represents a micropayment and location system for EV charging stations.
Navigato can be used by all service providers along the mobility ecosystem supply chain to easily and securely exchange
the usage, maintenance, financial transaction data with the vehicle, owners and drivers, V2V transactions as well as C2C
transactions. The proprietary AI algorithms for performance improvement and grid planning helps our B2B clients to reduce
gaps in their networks and improve quality. The main technological advance that allowed us to create Navigato in its current
form is the emergence of IOTA, the first open-source distributed ledger that is being built to power the future of the IoT with
feeless microtransactions and data integrity for machines. This gives us access to the mobility software market that is sized
at least €808 million. We charge a micro payment transaction fee of 1-1.5% plus a monthly subscription fee of €15-€50 per
charging stations/month. Our clients are EVSE operators, our end-users are EV drivers and owners and our providers are
software and hardware (sensor, etc.) providers. Navigato can play a role in lowering emissions in Europe by assisting EVs to
be adopted. Greenhouse gas emissions of EVs, with the current EU energy mix and over the entire vehicle life cycle, are
about 17-30 % lower than the emissions of petrol cars.
