IWT/icing facilities ready for (s)AW tests (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

IWT and icing facilities ready for the testing of sAW devices The ice wind tunnels and other icing facilities ice adhesion tester freezing delay devices tc utilised to test the performance of the acoustic devices for deicing should be modified to enable the introduction of the icing platforms and the wiring connections with the electronic placed outside the setup When possible observation window for optical andor spectroscopic observation would be also incorporated in these facilities These modified icing facilities constitute the basis of this deliverable

Dissemination and Exploitation Plan (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Dissemination and Exploitation Plan Dissemination of results should serve not only to spread the main achievements of the project but also to reinforce the capacity of exploiting the main results This deliverable contains a report with all possible actions contributing to the exploitation of results and its future transfer to the industry This exploitation is envisaged at the level of partial results eg sensor SAW to detect ice SAW activation onto large surfaces etc and for the complete technology intended for an autonomous operation of deicing over large surfaces

Report describing the atomic scale effects of SAW excitation of water molecules at icesubstrate interfaces This deliverable will gather main atomic simulation results of the effect of acoustic activation of water molecules at the interface with an oscillating substrate The way how the mechanical energy is transferred to the ice molecules the effect of this transfer in activating the water molecules leading eventually to their detachment from the substrate will be also reported in this deliverable together with expected effects of change the frequency of the oscillation its amplitude etc

Report on the deicing activity of singlesAW devices This deliverable will report the results of the effectiveness of deicing from singlesAW decides activated by acoustic excitation and the dependence of the effectiveness of deicing on the operating conditions of the device

Anti-icing and superhydrophobic performance of passive layers (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Report on antiicing and superhydrophobicperformance of the passive layers integrated in the multisAW devices Termination of multisAW devices consists of a antiicing layer providing an effective passive antiicing function The wetting the superhydrophilicity is related with antiicing capacity and antiicing properties of these layers will be examined correlated with the composition and microstructure and the results reported in this deliverable

Report with management rules The long duration of the project 48 months and the relatively large consortium the foreseeable need of adopting alternative measures etc requires defining clear rules to adopt agreements to communicate them both internally and to the EU doing rules etc All these management rules will be agreed in the first meeting and include in a report that is the basis of this deliverable
