Objetivo
OBJECTIVES
The frequent changes in governmental social security policy in recent years have created a climate of continual change and rationalisation in public and private social security bodies. These frequent changes complicate considerably the work of the employees in this sector and a gap is emerging between the skills and knowledge of these employees and the demands placed on them. This is why the partners of this project have decided to respond by promoting and improving continuing training in the sector and by encouraging an organisational approach which is receptive to - and capable of - dealing with change.
ACTIVITIES
The partnership consists of social security organisations, universities and trade unions. It will start by conducting a study on individual qualification requirements and the organisational requirements of social security bodies generated by the turbulence throughout the sector. Training modules and tools will then be designed, focusing on the acquisition of social skills such as the capacity to communicate, to make decisions, leadership ability, the capacity to co-operate and to work in a team. The training will be open and flexible and will encourage learning within working environments. It will then be tested and evaluated by the partners before being finalised.
PRODUCTS
- Creation of modular, continuing training programmes for employees of social security bodies and particularly women with few qualifications who are in mid-career.
