Cel Increasing awareness of the impact of industrial activity on the environment has resulted in European legislation on environmental management control. Many SMEs however do not have the resources to keep pace with developments or for implementing the requirements relevant to their activities. This project aims to assist SMEs in improving performance in this field through the development and testing of on-and off-the job courses in environmental management for hotel and catering employees, mechanics and printing shop workers in particular. The project will develop a 150-hour programme targeted at SME employees trained to secondary school level and at students from participating vocational training schools on apprenticeships in SMEs. The emphasis will be on developing knowledge and skills in information gathering, evaluating the relevance of information, applying new knowledge to a company's activities, seeking expert advice, handling communication with outside organisations, maintaining records and contributing to company policy development. Programme content will cover areas such as environmental issues and law, environmental management, information management, waste management, quality control and employee motivation. The programmes will be designed for tutor-led group training and provide for on-the-job trainee assignments. Materials will be case-study based and include audiovisual aids, student manuals and workbooks and teacher manuals.ImpactThe project will led to improved vocational training, enhance employment prospects and foster positive attitudes towards environmental management in SMEs.Contract number : IS/97/1/32003/PI/I.1.1.b/FPCDomaine : Continuing vocational trainingContents : Vocational qualifications Training in environmental protection Training in SMEsProducts : Training programmes/ curriculum Short training courses Semi-autonomous/ flexible training Public : Managers/ Owners of SMES Workers in companies Students Program(-y) ET-LEONARDO DA VINCI 1 - Action programme for the implementation of a European Community vocational training policy Leonardo da Vinci, 1995-1999 Temat(-y) I.1.1.b - Continuing vocational training arrangements Zaproszenie do składania wniosków Data not available System finansowania CSC - Cost-sharing contracts Koordynator IceTec-Technological Institute of Iceland Wkład UE Brak danych Adres Keldnaholt IS-112 Reykjavik Islandia Zobacz na mapie Koszt całkowity Brak danych Uczestnicy (7) Sortuj alfabetycznie Sortuj według wkładu UE Rozwiń wszystko Zwiń wszystko Arbeits-gemeinschaft Müll-vermeidund Austria Wkład UE Brak danych Adres Kinkgasse 7 8020 Graz Zobacz na mapie Koszt całkowity Brak danych European Social Environmental Research Hiszpania Wkład UE Brak danych Adres Progreso 22 3.°,3 41013 Sevilla Zobacz na mapie Koszt całkowity Brak danych Federation of Icelandic Industries Islandia Wkład UE Brak danych Adres Hallveigarstíg 1 101 Reykjavik Zobacz na mapie Koszt całkowity Brak danych Finnish Environmental Education Ltd.
