Enantioselective synthesis of biologically important natural products and their analogues having anti-tumour, immunosuppressant as well as HMG-CoA reductase inhibitory activity

The goal of this project is the enantio and stereoselective synthesis of biologically important natural products and their analogues exhibiting anti-tumour and immunosuppressant properties as well as potential inhibitors of HMG-CoA reductase. Results: A number of biologically compounds exhibiting anti-tumour,immunosuppressant and HMG CoA-reductase inhibitory activity have been synthesized. The biological evaluation of these compounds including the toxicity tests may require another two years, if not more. About 15 scientific publications resulted from this co-operation. At the moment no patent has been submitted from the joint work.
