Research prototypes demonstrating research results

Within the DHX project, 5 research prototypes with cultural content were produced: - Shilla Culture - Heritage Alive! - A Virtual Visit to Samaria Gorge - An Italian Drama Theater - Virtual Baptistery of Pisa - Exploration of Beethoven's Life and Work Among the ones listed is the research prototype concerning a virtual tour to the Samaria gorge in Crete. For the virtual 3D reconstruction real stereoscopic image sequences along with computer vision techniques have been used. Furthermore, a virtual 3D reconstruction of the principal animals living in the Gorge as well at their motion has been created.
