Cel European paper mills produce annually about 75 million ton of paper equalling a sales over 44 billion EURO. By sustainable management specific consumptions have decreased significantly. Nowadays per ton of paper 20 m³ of water, 15 GJ of energy and 0,5 ton of wood are used. Further reductions are without a product and process based treatment concept impossible. In this concept a control system is included and process waterish conditioned by a combination of treatment technologies in the primary water loop of the paper machine. During treatment, water is purified and accumulates are conditioned to a maximum allowable level. Subsequently, operas ability, flexibility and productivity of the process will be improved together with water and product qualities and emissions and usage of natural resources will be reduced. Overall, the profitability in European peppermills will increase annually with 0.3 billion EURO. On the other hand this concept is applicable in all paper mills (in total about 2000) which equals market potential of about 5 billion Euros for the technology suppliers in the paper industry.
