Cel
Vocational training in economic professions traditionally reaches high theoretical standards. Often, less attention is paid to training for job-specific key skills. Rapidly changing demands of the labour market and the influence of information technology on commercial and administrative activities require new skills. This project aims to improve the quality of vocational training systems, programmes, strategies, methods and materials in the field of economic professions, with a strong emphasis on key skills training.
The partners will compare new methods in job skills assessment, vocational counselling, the use of interactive multimedia, on-the-job-training and euroqualifications etc. They will exchange expertise, carry out research on the effectiveness of new methods compared to real life business practice and further develop successful methods and strategies and implement them in training courses, thus raising their quality. The use of new technology, using students as workers and the changing role of teachers are important pedagogical factors in the project.
Impact
The published results will give rise to many useful ideas for accelerating the process of cultural change towards more client-oriented behaviour. It will also strengthen the relationship between companies and training institutes.
